About us

Child Therapy N.I. is an innovative Child Counselling and Child Psychotherapy Centre, based in the prime location of Derry-Londonderry.


We offer highly specialised therapeutic assessments, treatment and therapy for children with a range of emotional and behavioural issues.

Our aims

  • To work in collaboration and conjunction with all Health and Social Care Agencies, Schools, Courts and Voluntary Organisations.

  • To fully support the Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Service (CAPS), which aims to provide therapeutic and emotional support to children aged from 4 to 18 years.

  • To provide specialised professional support to groups such as educators, doctors etc

  • To help reduce the waiting times for children in need of emotional and psychological help and support.

  • To build resilience, self-esteem and emotional capacity in children, young people and adults

  • To help clients to manage their lives

  • To sustain mental well being and to promote a better integrated life.

  • To enable adults to understand the importance of their children's ability to deal with emotional and mental issues.

  • To provide an alternative to medication for the treatment of emotional issues.

  • To enable the child to resolve the deep-rooted issues in a positive manner.
